As part of the nutrition team, you'll assist with the care of our patients by answering phone calls from customers and care teams. You'll screen patients for nutritional risk, coordinate menu selection, and educate those with moderately complex diets. You'll also maintain patient information in our software program, ensuring that their nutritional needs are always met. Essential Functions Assists with meal selection utilizing appropriate menu program while stressing appropriate restrictions and good nutrition. Screens patients regarding nutrition risk, obtains diet history, allergies, food preferences. Accurately maintains pertinent patient information. Communicates with patient/family members, confers with the dietitian regarding special patient needs, nutrition risk, etc... Assembles appropriate tray tickets based on diet orders. Performs clerical duties, which may include answering phone calls, taking messages, typing, faxing and filing.
