We are seeking a passionate and motivated Grade 1 or 2 Dietitian’s to join our Healthcare at Home team on a casual basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by delivering evidence-based nutrition and dietetic care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will play an integral role in helping patients achieve their health and recovery goals while enjoying the autonomy and variety that community-based practice offers. You will provide high-quality clinical nutrition and dietetic services in accordance with Dietitians Australia Professional Standards and Code of Conduct, as well as St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines.

We are the At-Home Team for each of the SJOG hospitals across WA and will be based out of the Osborne Park Office, Murdoch or Midland hospitals to accommodate most metro areas.
This position will be offered on a casual basis with an expectation of 1-2 shifts weekly depending on caseload.
The Position:
Provide a nutrition and dietetic service to patients, clients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and or outpatients including management of more complex patients.
Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements of patients and clients
Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division, and external agencies, as appropriate.
Uses expert nutritional knowledge acts as a consultant to the hospital catering service to inform menu development and compliance with the relevant hospital Nutritional standards.
Document patients’ medical nutrition therapy in the approved manner.
Participate in multidisciplinary activities e.g. team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences, as required.
Participate in the delivery of education programmes within the dietetics service and for other caregiver groups.
Develop and review dietary education resources.
Participate in other Divisional activities as assigned.
We're looking for those who enjoy working collaboratively, are committed to continuous improvement and keen to contribute to innovative clinical practice while supporting the development of others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential for building positive relationships and working effectively with clients from diverse cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds. Dietician’s with Rehab In The Home (RITH), community care and/or home visiting experience are encouraged to apply. Hospital experience is not necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Dietetics and be eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia, with Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status. You will have demonstrated experience applying evidence-based practice and clinical dietetic knowledge to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Previous experience as a dietitian, ideally within a healthcare, community or disability setting, will be highly regarded. Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting positive health outcomes are key to success in this role. As this is a community-based position, a current driver's licence and a valid Working with Children Check are essential.

We can offer you
Casual Rate: $55.81 to $88.02 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
