About This Opportunity 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Focused Lecturer to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning within the School of Public Health. You will play a key role in delivering Public Health Nutrition education, leading course coordination, and contributing to innovative, evidence-based curriculum design in a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Teach across different settings and develop evidence-based, innovative curriculum design and pedagogy including online learning and blended teaching methods and resources.

• Coordinate courses, prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials, and design effective assessment and undertake marking across undergraduate and postgraduate Public Health Nutrition offerings.

• Contribute to the development of new programs and course materials in consultation with stakeholders to ensure courses remain contemporary, relevant, and engaging.

• Engage in educational collaborations to enhance teaching quality and contribute to continuous improvement of the School’s teaching practices.

About You 

• Completion of a PhD in Public Health Nutrition or a closely related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality university teaching across diverse learning environments.

• Experience in course coordination and curriculum development at program and/or course level.

• An emerging profile of teaching impact and/or education research within the discipline.

• Evidence of participation in initiatives that enhance curriculum, pedagogy, or assessment practices.

• Experience supporting or supervising students, including Honours or Higher Degree by Research candidates.

• Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to contribute expertise that complements existing strengths within the School.
